Welcome to Dr. Drasnin's office.
If you have been referred by your physician for a neuropsychological evaluation, you may not be familiar with the process.
The neuropsychological evaluation process is comprised of three appointments:
Initial Diagnostic Interview:
This is the first appointment and will generally last for 45-60 minutes. Dr. Drasnin will meet with you to discuss your presenting concerns and get a detailed background from you. He will also review the information you filled out in the packet of information we sent you. Dr. Drasnin uses this information to talior a testing battery for you. At this time, you will schedule your testing appointment. If your insurance company requires authorization for testing, we will obtain the authorization prior to scheduling the testing.
Neuropyschological Testing:
The second appointment in the process. Please refer to Your Testing Appointment for details.
After the testing is complete, you can schedule your follow-up appointment.
Follow-Up:
This is the third appointment in which you and Dr. Drasnin discuss the results of your testing. The appointment is usually 45-60 minutes. Dr. Drasnin also provides you with treatment recommendations, and answers any questions you may have.
