Dr. Drasnin is a Clinical Neuropsychologist who specializes in the diganostic assesment and treatment of patients with brain injuries or neurocognitive deficits.
A clinical neuropsychologist is different from a psychologist in that they have an extensive knowledge of the brain and use neuropsychological tests to accurately assess cognitive defects and therefore manage, treat and rehabilitate brain injured and neurocognitively impaired patients.
Dr. Drasnin is trained in psychotherapy and counseling. He is qualified to provide theraputic services as well as educational and behavioral support for each patient's concerns.
Patients are often referred to Dr. Drasnin to assess a person's cognitive skills, plan for treatment after hospitalization, perform an Independent Medical Evaluation (IME) for an insurance company or track a person's mental status changes over a period of time.
